Notebook manufacturers are scaling down production, but Apple appears to be in the completely opposite mood because the Cupertino giant is planning a truckload of Mac releases this year. Some models are expected to be announced in a couple of weeks, and best of all, the latest tally doesn’t even include the OLED M6 MacBook Pro, which is expected to arrive with a redesigned chassis and touchscreen capabilities.
The entire lineup is expected to start with the low-cost MacBook, followed by updated 13-inch and 15-inch M5 MacBook Air models
As usual, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman didn’t drop the ultimate surprise by unveiling the launch date of every Mac, but at least he has provided a list of all the hardware expected to arrive later this year. Just a couple of hours ago, we reported that the low-cost MacBook will sport an aluminum chassis and be embellished with bright color options, with Gurman providing updates early on that the M5 Pro, M5 Max, and M5 Ultra are scheduled to launch in the first half of 2026. For the entire lineup slated to arrive in 2026, we recommend checking the list below.
- New low-cost MacBook
- New 13-inch and 15-inch M5 MacBook Air models
- New 14-inch and 16-inch M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models
- New M5 Ultra Mac Studio
- New M5 and M5 Pro Mac mini
- New M5 iMac (possibly an M5 Pro option but unconfirmed)
- New Apple Studio Display
Mac sales are already expected to pick up this year, with the low-cost version powered by the A18 Pro estimated to account for 25 percent of Apple’s 2025 computing revenue alone. What we’re particularly interested to see is whether M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro sales will suffer because buyers will be saving up for the redesigned OLED model. Whatever the case may be, those interested in purchasing these machines will have a boatload of options available.
