If you love the looks of the Apple Mac Pro’s chassis, you will also love the Omini Pro, except that you will find AMD’s Zen 4-based APU.
ORICO Launches Omini Pro PC Powered by 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 8845HS APU, Available on JD for a Discounted Price of $379 for Barebones Edition
The revised “Cheese-Grater” chassis, which was used for the Apple Mac Pro 2019 machine, has now inspired ORICO, which has debuted a case that looks pretty identical to the original version. ORICO, a Chinese manufacturer, has just announced its newest mini PC called Omini Pro, which is inspired by the iconic 2019 Cheese-Grater case, and offers the same silverish exterior made using the aluminum alloy + CNC + fine sandblasting + anodizing method.

The result is a seamless chassis that has the ORICO branding instead of Apple’s, but carries the same look with carrying handles on top and the same feet. It’s fully ventilated from the front, featuring the same cheese-grater-style perforations. It measures 139 x 61 x 185 mm, so it’s quite compact, but still packs a punch as Orico went with the decently powerful Ryzen 7 8845HS processor.
The Omini Pro boasts this Zen 4-based 8-core/16-thread APU that runs in a 3.8 to 5.1 GHz frequency range, and brings a powerful integrated graphics based on the RDNA 3 architecture. While it can’t compete with the Zen 5-based Krackan Point or Strix Point chips, the CPU is still decently powerful for most tasks, including gaming on low/medium settings, which is possible due to Radeon 780M integrated graphics.
For connectivity, the Omini Pro brings WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual 2.5G LAN ports, making it ideal for most users. However, it also brings blazing-fast dual USB4 Type-C ports for high-bandwidth devices as well. To power the system, it is equipped with a 120W gallium nitride power supply, which is sufficient for powering the components, considering there is no integrated graphics.

ORICO has launched it on JD for 3,899 Yuan or US$547, but the PC will be available for just 2,699 Yuan or US$379 with a limited-time pre-sale deal. This price is for the barebones configuration, and the system will be available in various configurations as well, such as 1 TB and 2 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage capacities, and 32 GB 5600 MT/s SO-DIMM DDR5 system memory. The sale will officially commence on 30th November, but users can place the orders as early as today.
