The anime giant announced the news Thursday, saying that the app is a separate platform that will be available as an add-on to its streaming service.

Anime subscribers who already have Crunchyroll’s Ultimate Fan plan will be able to get Crunchyroll Manga at no extra cost. But, there are different price tiers for the other anime plans, outlined below:

  • Crunchyroll Mega Fan subscription with Manga is $15.50 a month in the US ($17.50 CAD), and includes the Manga add-on at $3.50 monthly ($5 CAD). A standalone Mega Fan subscription runs $12 a month.

Unlimited reading on the app isn’t the only feature, as you’ll also be able to download chapters, use dark and light mode or customize reading lists to your tastes. Titles you’ll see at launch include releases from publishers like Viz Media, Square Enix, Yen Press and more, such as One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Dress-Up Darling, The Summer Hikaru Died and Delicious in Dungeon. Crunchyroll plans to beef up the library with additional publishers and books in the future.
