Slow Horses, inspired by Mick Herron’s Slough House book series, is returning for its fifth season. The Emmy-winning spy drama explores the inner workings of Slough House, a low-rent dumping ground for an array of MI5 rejects.

Jackson Lamb (played by Gary Oldman) is their leader and, over the previous four seasons, he’s proven himself to be a thorn in pretty much everyone’s side. Other stars in the celebrated series include Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Hugo Weaving, Rosalind Eleazar and Joanna Scanlan, among many others.
A quick look at the show’s Rotten Tomatoes score shows that three of the five seasons have a perfect 100%.

Season 5 of Slow Horses premieres its first two episodes on Wednesday, Sept. 24, on Apple TV Plus. The remaining four episodes will drop every Wednesday, weekly, until the finale on Oct. 22.
