Samsung first 115-inch LCD TV has a unique micro-RGB backlight and a glare-free coating and takes on Hisense’s similarly massive 116UX TV.Â
The Samsung Micro RGB TV uses red, green and blue micro LEDs in an “ultrafine pattern behind the panel,” which is distinct from Hisense’s RGB-backlit UX series as it features larger mini-LEDs. The Samsung TV boasts AI-boosted processing modes, such as the Micro RGB Color Booster Pro to enhance dull colors.
This TV is distinct from a native Micro LED, where every LED is a discrete display pixel. The company has previously released such models as the $100,000 89-inch MS1B.
The Micro RGB TV’s panel has the company’s “most advanced” Glare-Free technology to minimize reflections, a version of which can be seen on the company’s S95F OLED TV.
The TV comes with a host of connected features, including Click to Search, which lets you ask Bixby contextual questions about the content on screen and “receive natural language answers.”
At $29,999, the TV is priced the same as the larger Hisense 116UX, but Samsung undoubtedly has greater brand recognition.
Look out for more on the Samsung Micro RGB TV soon.
