Intel plans to release one variant of the Panther Lake mobile lineup by the end of this year, with a more diverse launch in the first quarter of 2026.
Intel’s Panther Lake SoCs Are Expected To See More Retail Availability In 2026; Q4 2025 Launch Likely a Formality
Team Blue’s PTL launch is something that might prove the fate of the company’s mobile business, given that not only does it come at a time when competitors like AMD are ramping up the competition with their solutions, such as Strix Point, but Panther Lake will feature Intel’s 18A process, a node which is significantly vital to Intel Foundry and its future. Now, according to @meng59739449, it is revealed that Intel plans to launch only a single Panther Lake variant this year, reportedly coming with a 4P + 8E core configuration with 4 Xe3 cores.
intel 18A Panther Lake first High Level SKU : 4 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 0 LP-E Cores + 4 Xe3 Cores (45W) will launch in Q4 2025 , other SKU will launch in Q1 2026 .
don’t miss out !!!— meng (@meng59739449) April 28, 2025
This is claimed to be one of the top-end offerings in the Panther Lake segment, given that the flagship model is expected to feature 12 Xe3 cores, while the rest of the core configurations are expected to remain the same. Intel’s decision to release a single Panther Lake SKU in Q4 2025 is likely to meet market expectations, given that there was uncertainty around when Intel would release the lineup, and delay rumors started to pop up last quarter. It is safe to say that Panther Lake will show its full influence over the market by Q1 2026.

So far, we have information around four different Panther Lake SKUs, and in a previous report, it was validated that PTL will employ Cougar Cove (P-cores) and Darkmont (E-cores). Here’s how the SKUs are expected to be configured.
- PTL-H SKU #1: 4 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 0 LP-E Cores + 4 Xe3 Cores (45W) – Q4 2025
- PTL-H SKU #2:Â 4 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 4 LP-E Cores + 12 Xe3 Cores (25W)
- PTL-H SKU #3:Â 4 P-Cores + 8 E-Cores + 4 LP-E Cores + 4 Xe3 Cores (25W)
- PTL-U SKU #4:Â 4 P-Cores + 0 E-Cores + 4 LP-E Cores + 4 Xe3 Cores (15W)
It will be interesting to see how Intel’s Panther Lake launch pans out. Given the state of their CPU business, it is important for the firm to nail this release.
