Industry 4.0
The circular industrial connector specialist highlights the parts are suitable for the demands of Industry 4.0 and harsh environments. In terms of high temperature resistance, the design is for an operating range of -40 °C to +105 °C.
The 813 series – T-coded and with a pole count of 4 – is for applications where high electrical performance and high resistance to external influences are required.
The 814 series – L-code and with a pole counts of 4 and 4+FE – is for demanding industrial environments.
Both variants have an IP67-rating and are for cable diameters of 6-13 mm.
For the field attachable M12 connectors, the interlock material is stainless steel. The 813 and 823 series have an estimated mechanical service life of > 100 mating cycles.
Stainless steel
Binder writes:
“The 823 series (L-code) enables increased flexibility and performance, especially for applications with increased current requirements. The number of poles of 4 or 4+FE and the connection cross-section of up to 2.5 mm² / AWG 14 without wire end ferrules predestine this series for use with higher current loads of up to 16 A. The stainless steel locking mechanism also ensures high mechanical stability and IP67 protection. In electrical terms, the series has a rated voltage of 63 V.”
The binder group includes the binder headquarters in Neckarsulm, Germany. There are also nine sales offices, seven production sites, and an innovation and technology center. With offices in Nottingham in the UK, the company employs around 2,000 people worldwide.
