While monitor brands are competing in the higher-end segment, AOC has brought more affordable solutions for competitive players.
AOC Debuts 25″ and 34″ High Refresh Gaming Monitors on a Budget: Delivering Smooth Visuals on a Budget
AOC has been active in producing entry-level and mid-range gaming monitors even though most leading display manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, ASUS, MSI, etc. have been working on crafting expensive QD-OLED displays. AOC is back again with two more offerings, each monitor catering to different needs.
Our newest G4 models reflect our understanding that different gaming genres demand specialised performance,
While we continue to push boundaries with QD-OLED technology in our AGON PRO lineup, we’re bringing targeted high-performance features to our AOC GAMING range. The CU34G4Z delivers exactly what simulation enthusiasts have been asking for, while the 25G4SXU provides competitive players with the frame rate advantage they need — all at price points that make sense for dedicated gamers.

The first one is the 25G4SXU, which features a 25-inch screen and is equipped with a Fast IPS panel. Unlike regular IPS panels, the Fast IPS panel helps the 25-inch AOC monitor achieve faster response with just 1ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT. The CU34G4Z model, which features a 34-inch screen size, also brings a fast 1ms GtG response time but is equipped with a Fast VA panel.
The main difference between the two, apart from the screen size, is the display type. The 25-inch monitor has a flat 16:9 ratio display while the 34-inch monitor has a curved ultra-wide screen with 1500R curvature. This results in a higher resolution of WQHD (3440x1440p) on the latter, while the 25G4SXU boasts 1080p resolution.
Despite the higher resolution of the CU34G4Z, it can still achieve a good 240Hz refresh rate, but the 25-inch monitor is able to hit 300Hz out of the box. It can be overclocked further to reach 310Hz, but the difference will remain mostly unnoticeable. The 34-inch monitor seems to lack adaptive sync while the 25-inch monitor brings NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility for a tear-free gameplay experience.
Considering these specs, both monitors seem fit to play esports titles such as CS2, Valorant, and others and will be ideal for competitive gamers on a budget. The 34-inch monitor is more suitable for immersive gameplay and will be good for triple-A titles where one would want to explore vast worlds that envelop your field of vision. For connectivity, each of the monitors is equipped with USB 3.2 Gen 1 hubs and the CU34G4Z comes with 2 ports while the 25G4SXU comes with 4. For display output, there are DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports.
The AOC Gaming CU34G4Z is priced at £369 and the 25G4SXU at £199. Both will be available for purchase, starting this month.
