A lot of custom editions for the GeForce RTX 5070 have been added to the B&H Photo Video retailer and several of them are at MSRP.
Gigabyte, ASUS, and PNY Base and OC Models for RTX 5070 Listed at $549 on a Major Retailer
We are hardly two days away from the official retail launch of the GeForce RTX 5070 and the listings have started to appear. This is usual as retailers prepare to sell the product once the embargo lifts. The RTX 5070 is the fourth SKU in the RTX 50 series lineup and is officially priced at $549.
The latest listings on B&H Photo Video retailer show many custom models of the GPU, mostly from Gigabyte and ASUS, but two are from PNY as well. Typically, vendors launch base and OC models as one can check from the listings, but the surprising thing here is the mentioned MSRP of those GPUs.
Since the condition of the RTX 50 series is lackluster, it’s the first time for an RTX 50 GPU to be launched at their mentioned MSRP. This was seen recently when Best Buy listed the ASUS Prime RTX 5070 edition for $549. However, that’s the base model with a stock base and boost clock speeds.

This time, even the OC models that usually sell for noticeably higher price tags are also listed for the same $549. Currently, out of 10 RTX 5070 GPUs listed on the retailer, four carry price tags. These include:
- ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5070: $549
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 WindForce OC SFF: $549
- PNY GeForce RTX 5070 OC Triple Fan: $549
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 WindForce SFF: $549
Two of these are factory-overclocked GPUs and bring slightly higher clocks than the FE edition. This is a good indication and unless the vendors or sellers increase the MSRP like MSI recently did with the RTX 5070 Ti GPUs, the only thing left for NVIDIA to fix is availability.
Various reports have indicated that the RTX 5070 is also going to see a similar shortage as previously launched RTX 50 GPUs, and if that happens, AMD will have a greater advantage considering the RX 9070 is expected to deliver superior performance for the same price tag.
The GeForce RTX 5070 will succeed the RTX 4070 GPU and will boast 6144 CUDA cores and 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM. It is going to utilize the GB205 die and will operate at a TDP of 250W. This is higher than its predecessor, but hopefully, it helps the RTX 5070 brings better performance.
