A pair of sunglasses can really bring an outfit together and make you stand out. But what about a pair of tech-enhanced specs that can record video, snap photos, play music, make calls and send messages, among a plethora of other cool features? If we’ve piqued your interest, then you should definitely take advantage of this Black Friday offer ahead of Cyber Monday on a pair of Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses for just $239.
It’s an extremely rare and surprisingly steep discount for this particular Meta product that usually costs well over $300. A 20% discount has been applied across various colors and styles as part of Amazon’s Cyber Monday sale. This price applies to the black-framed variant with the classic green-tinted lenses.
How to get the $90 Amazon credit
While the 20% discount is nothing to scoff at, Amazon is doing something a bit extra to sweeten the deal. The retailer is now offering buyers a $90 Amazon digital credit after checkout. When all is said and done, if you include the credit amount in your purchase, you’re pretty much spending $149 on a pair of sunglasses that usually cost double that. Not bad at all. Though the promotional credit deal ends today, so take advantage of it while you can.

CNET editor at-large Scott Stein found the Meta Ray-Bans to be “somewhat astonishing at times” in his review, highlighting how they make “wonderful vacation companions and memory makes.” More so, he noted how the tech doesn’t focus on AI too heavily: “What I love about Meta’s smart glasses is that AI is a whimsical bonus. These are glasses first and cameras/headphones second — and pretty good ones at that.”
They’re also extremely good headphones for voice calls and podcasts, with excellent microphones. They’re good for playing music as well, but keep in mind that the open design of the speaker placement means they’re hard to use in noisy places. Meta’s Ray-Bans can also be outfitted with various sunglass lens inserts or prescription lenses, just like regular glasses.
While Meta will continue to add new features to its smart glasses over time, these Ray-Bans aren’t being updated anytime soon, so this discount is well worth acting on.
Why this deal matters
Advanced technology like Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses can be extremely pricey. After all, it’s all brand-new and shiny so anyone trying them out is very much a pioneer in these early days. So if you’ve been holding off making the leap to next-gen, this is a great time with all these variations reaching a new low price, thanks to a 20% cut at Amazon. Not a bad way to treat someone close (or even yourself) this holiday season, either.
