We are only a few months away from June, and the company is heavily invested in introducing AI features to a wide range of Apple products. Since the devices in Apple’s walled garden are interconnected one way or the other, almost all products are bound to get new AI features with their respective software updates, including macOS 15. However, most of the prominent additions will only be part of the company’s iOS 18 and macOS 15 releases.
If you are not sure, we have curated a list of AI utilities Apple will announce for its big macOS 15 release later this year. Some AI additions could be limited to Macs powered by the company’s M series of chips, but these are mere speculations at this stage, so be sure to take the news with a pinch of salt. Check out the list of AI features coming with the release of macOS 15.
Improved Siri
Apple has been training Siri with large language models for its arrival on the iPhone and the Mac. It will be able to execute more complex tasks with deeper integration with the Shortcuts app.
AI in Xcode
We have previously covered that the company is working on new AI tools that will work alongside Xcode so that developers can write and edit code easily with assistance.
AI in Pages and Keynote
Similar to how Apple is developing AI tools for system-wide iPhone apps, the company is also expected to unveil AI-assisted deck creation and writing in Keynote and Pages, respectively. The utility could work similarly to Google’s Gemini with predictive text.
Apple Music AI-Generated Playlists
In macOS 15, users will be able to generate playlists in Apple Music using AI. The algorithms in place could generate playlists based on your listening habits and preferences. However, details on the new features are scarce, so nothing can be said for sure until Apple officially announces the feature.
MiscellaneousÂ
Apple could offer a wide range of additional tools with macOS 15, including the possibility of a new chatbot specifically designed for the Mac. It was previously reported that the company is seeking partnerships with OpenAI, Google, and Baidu to bring their generative AI technology to the iPhone and possibly Mac as well.
The Shortcuts app could see a major boost as well with the ability to automate complicated tasks with multiple apps involved in the process. Other than this, system apps like Messages and Notes could also benefit from the generative AI technology coming with the release of macOS 15. Which feature are you most excited about?
