HBK U9C force sensor with IO Link

U9C sensors (pictured) measure tension and compression, and C9C sensors measure only compression.

The sensors easing digital up-grades by having identical mechanical dimensions and threads to their analogue counterparts.

“With a standardised interface to any PLC, HBK’s digital force sensors are suited for industrial environments and for measuring fast processes,” said the company. “By opting for sensors with IO-Link, users can expect the capability to detect and identify instances where technical limits, such as maximum usage forces or peak-to-peak values, are exceeded, and subsequently issue appropriate warnings.”

IO Link uses unshielded three or five conductor cable up to 20m long, with connectors controlled by a standard.

HBK is Hottinger Brüel & Kjær, formed when HBM joined Brüel & Kjær. The company provides integrated test, measurement, control and simulation solutions.
