Samsung’s design and engineering team kicked it up a gear when the company officially launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, and it is the company’s thinnest flagship ever produced, with a thickness of 5.8mm and a weight of 163 grams that will make you feel like you are holding paper. Fortunately, despite its sleek form factor, the Korean giant did not compromise on the specifications, but there are other areas where potential buyers will find the company has made trade-offs, so let us get into those details immediately.

The display of the Galaxy S25 Edge measures 6.7 inches and employs Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with a QHD+ resolution, along with a variable refresh rate that ranges between 1-120Hz. For protection, the latest handset sports Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. As for the internals, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rocking Qualcomm’s 8-core Snapdragon 8 Elite, coupled with 12GB RAM, with users having the option to kit out their flagship with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
As you would expect, you cannot upgrade the onboard memory on the Galaxy S25 Edge through a microSD card. Coming to the compromises, Samsung has used a rather small 3,900mAh battery, and it charges at 25W through a wired connection. The company claims that the cell’s capacity can reach 55 percent by being plugged in for 30 minutes, while also supporting Qi wireless charging right off the bat. The second feature that was cut from the final product was the total number of rear cameras.
In case you did not know already, the Galaxy S25 Edge sports two rear cameras instead of three on the remaining Galaxy S25 models, with the primary unit being a 200MP sensor with an F/1.7 aperture with baked-in Optical Image Stabilization. Samsung says that this single camera is capable of capturing 2x optical quality zoom shots, though we will have to check out this claim in detail to confirm its veracity. The secondary sensor is a 12MP F/2.2 ultrawide-angle one, with the selfies getting captured by a 12MP addition.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is IP68 dust and water-resistant, and runs Android 15 with Samsung’s custom One UI 7 skin on top. The company says that the flagship will be available in the Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue colors, with the price starting from $1,099. The official sale of the Galaxy S25 Edge will start on May 30.
