In the fall of 2023, I was running hard up a hill in Portugal. Reaching the top of the scrub, I was greeted by a stunning view of a pure azure sea. It’s long-lasting with an outstanding battery life, handles swim-tracking and stroke counts perfectly well (I tested it, again, in Portugal, where it held up in my stroke-counting tests). My one gripe is that it’s a training watch, not a smartwatch: if you’re expecting to take calls on-wrist or handle any more than basic notifications, you’ll be disappointed and may prefer a Garmin. But at this price, it’s hard to have any complaints.
