Amazon’s Black Friday 2024 sale might be over, but the deals are far from expired, meaning that buyers who did not capitalize on the previous opportunity will get a second chance thanks to the early Cyber Monday 2024 sales. The first offer that is worth discussing are Apple’s premium wireless headphones, the AirPods Max. As the majority of you know, these are currently available in the Lightning and USB-C port options, with both versions discounted by the online retailer.
The older Lightning variant is available for $399 after a $150 discount, making it the lowest price for the AirPods Max, with the USB-C version available for $499. Since the USB-C variants launched later, it may be why they continue to be slightly higher in price, or perhaps Amazon wants to get rid of the older Lightning models quicker to make way for the USB-C ones, meaning that there is a possibility that the newer variants get discounted down to $399 in the future.
Regardless of what happens, the AirPods Max family are the ‘gold-standard headphones’ because not only do they ooze the term ‘premium’ thanks to their solid construction, but they also deliver incredible audio quality. What is even better is that you get the option to enable Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode at will, with a single charge netting you up to 20 hours of listening time.
If there was anything to complain about the AirPods Max, it is that Apple does not use its latest H2 chip that it has in the latest AirPods Pro 2, which are also discounted to an incredibly low $154 for early Amazon Cyber Monday. These headphones continue to feature the H1 chip, which does its job impeccably, but it would have been nice to see the AirPods Max treated to Apple’s latest and greatest silicon. Still, a starting price of $399 for these is outstanding, but you better hurry up because Cyber Monday 2024 is just around the corner, and after that, you will not get any more chances.
