The DDR5 memory overclocking competition is getting fierce as overclockers go against each other, making new world records frequently.
Saltycroissant Achieves 13153 MT/s Using Corsair Vengeance DDR5 on GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE; Marks a Big Jump Over Hicookie’s Speed
We are already past 13,000 MT/s since Sergmann broke this barrier last month, but now the competition has started to pick up the pace as enthusiasts are quickly breaking world records in a time span as short as 24 hours. Just yesterday, popular overclocker Hicookie managed to achieve a solid 13,034 MT/s using GIGABYTE’s Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE motherboard, but that was broken by CENS, who achieved 13,040 MT/s the same day.

Today, we have overclocker Saltycroissant breaking those records by using his 24 GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance memory stick on the Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE as well. He didn’t make a small jump, but got a big boost of nearly 119 MT/s over Hicookie’s score and about 113 MT/s over CENS max frequency. Saltycroissant is now the first to break the 13,100 MT/s mark, achieving a solid 13,153 MT/s memory speed with his setup, which consisted of GIGABYTE’s enthusiast-grade Tachyon ICE paired with Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU.
Slowly moving toward 7000, Thx to Corsair (DDR5 Vengeance) /Gigabyte (Z890 Tachyon ICE) / Splave (SplaveOne paste). And special thx to Hicookie, Sofos and Serg!!!

The timings were identical to the previous world records, and as verified by CPU-Z, the official latencies recorded were CL68-127-127-127-2. These aren’t ideal for performance, but such high latencies come as a result of such high memory frequencies. It’s more like a hobby than a race for achieving the best performance.
It appears that overclockers are determined to reach nearly 14,000 MT/s, which is going to be extremely difficult, but not impossible, seeing how quickly overclockers can make new world records. Previously, it took weeks to break a new world record, but as we have crossed the 13,000 MT/s mark, world records hardly stay at the top for long.
