NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series GPUs are slowly climbing up in the bestsellers list with the RTX 5070 taking over the first spot.
NVIDIA RTX 5070 Dethrones Radeon RX 9070 XT in Amazon’s Best-Selling GPUs List, RTX 5080 is also in the Top 10
Last week, AMD quickly became the most popular GPU vendor on Amazon US, with the RX 9070 XT and 9070 GPUs taking over the top spots in its bestselling GPUs list. The dominance couldn’t last for a while, and it was mostly due to availability issues. While the RX 9070 series saw a much better availability than NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series, the demand is too high to fulfill at the moment.
If you remember, NVIDIA also launched its GeForce RTX 5070 just a day before the RX 9070 series launch, and we could hardly track its availability due to scarce inventory. After a week, the GeForce RTX 5070 seems to have taken the number one spot from AMD by replacing the RX 9070 XT. There were quite a good number of custom editions for the RX 9070 XT and even the RX 9070 in the top 10 and top 20 best-selling GPUs, but most of them are now absent from the list.

Instead, the GeForce RTX 5070 and previously released RTX 50 series GPUs are now appearing in the best-selling spots along with some older RTX GPUs. The current number one spot goes to the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 OC edition, which you may not find available due to high demand. The next position is number seven, acquired by the ASUS SFF-Ready Prime GeForce RTX 5070 OC edition.
Surprisingly, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 16GB OC edition is now at the #8 spot and there is not a single RX 9070 XT or RX 9070 card in the top 10. The best position for an RX 9070 XT is #11, acquired by PowerColor’s Reaper RX 9070 XT edition, but that is hardly available. Following this, we see several RTX GPUs, including the RTX 4060, RTX 3060, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5080.

AMD is currently popular with its RX 7000 GPUs, including the RX 7600 XT, RX 7800 XT, and RX 7900 XTX. It might take quite some time for the RX 9070 series to appear in the best-selling GPUs list, but this list is going to see a rapid shift in the coming days when the availability becomes better and prices become more stable.
The GeForce RTX 5070 was officially launched at $549 and brings 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. It is slightly slower than the RX 9070 in raster and has 4 GB less VRAM. The RX 9070 XT, on the other hand, is noticeably faster for just $50 more, but the GPU market has always shown that NVIDIA cards likely sell more if there isn’t a bigger price difference between its AMD competitors.
