Developers were struggling to bring the enhanced version of Siri to earlier software releases, hinting that the Apple Intelligence road of rolling out features in quick time was going to have a ton of potholes. Now, the technology giant has faced another setback when it was forced to delay various add-ons that would be covered under its generative AI features, including the more personalized version of Siri. The iPhone 16 lineup was heavily marketed to tout this addition, but because it will arrive later, Apple has pulled the ad that served as a magnet intended to draw potential buyers to upgrade to the newer handsets.
The Apple Intelligence commercial starred Bella Ramsey, with the upgraded version of Siri now expected to arrive in 2026
On X, content creator Sam Kohl noticed that the Apple Intelligence feature was no longer present on YouTube, suggesting that the Cupertino firm had removed it because it heavily marketed a new AI-powered Siri that is not expected to arrive in 2025. In the ad, Bella Ramsey is shown to be carrying out various tasks that could only be completed thanks to the improved assistant, such as asking the name of the person with whom they had a meeting a month before at a restaurant.
Siri responded by informing Bella of the name based on a calendar and also sent the information to her iPhone through email and message. The young star also appeared in other Apple commercials that focused on email summarization and custom memory videos. Fortunately, these two videos have yet to be removed from YouTube, meaning that there is a strong possibility that Apple Intelligence will roll them out to compatible devices. As for the revamped Siri commercial, which was released in September 2024, it has been set to private.
Apple ran this iPhone 16 ad in September 2024 showing off the new AI Siri that understands personal context.
It’s now March 2025 and they just delayed the feature until sometime within the next year.

Kohl has mentioned on his X handle that the aforementioned feature could be marketed in the same way for the iPhone 17 as Apple did with the iPhone 16. Assuming that is the case, Apple’s goodwill for failing to bring these features in a timely fashion will likely be impacted. Regardless, let us wait for other additions to arrive that can improve the generative AI experience.
